Public Initiative: Civic centre for humanitarian aid for Georgia launched in Kyiv

Number of Ukrainian and Georgian NGOs and civic activists launched Civic centre for humanitarian aid for Georgia in Kyiv.

Centre accepts humanitarian aid for civilians who have suffered military actions in Georgia irrespective of their ethnic origin of location. Representatives of the centre transfer all the aid to Georgian NGOs, who are aware of the burning needs of the local population and conduct the direct support of those in need.

We accept: drugs and medical supplies, bed linen, pillows, mattresses, clothes, shoes, canned food, children’s toys and book as well as letters with the words of support you would like to express to those who have suffered lately.

The mission is organized together with the number of international organizations and the Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine, which assists in transportation of the humanitarian aid to Georgia.

Among the initiators of the centre are

Centre for Civic Freedoms (Kyiv)

Civic movement “Multiethnic Georgia” (Tbilisi)

The centre permanently coordinates its activities with the network of 20 NGOs in Tbilisi.
